DELLA PORTA ACCANTO: il finale.
Improvvisamente Adrian vede negli
occhi di Lawrence lo stesso sguardo accusatorio
che lo aveva portato ad uccidere tutti gli altri
ed accoltella il suo amante prima che egli possa
reagire. Nel mortale abbraccio, Lawrence
sussurrando lo ringrazia di aver mantenuto la
promessa di liberarlo dalla sua schiavitu'. La
rivoltella cade a terra, vuota.
In tribunale Adrian e' condannato
all'ergastolo, perde la ragione e chiede di
essere mandato dal suo amante.
Dopo un lungo periodo passato in una specie di
manicomio, Adrian e' ritenuto sufficientemente
calmo da essere portato sul terrazzo dell'ospedale
per un po' di aria fresca. La rabbia e la
violenza sono state mitigate dai farmaci. Mentre
e' placidamente seduto, Adrian vede Lawrence
porgergli le braccia e sorridergli dolcemente
oltre il parapetto. Senza esitare, Adrian lo
scavalca per raggiungere l'abbraccio di Lawrence.
